Juddah strolled down the bare halls of Hogwarts smacking her gum. She turned to a wall and spoke the password. The wall opened before her and she stepped inside. She noticed an unlikely pair before her; Lucius Malfoy and Serverus Snape.
"Hey boys," she remarked casually, "anything brewing?"

Sirius had just opened his mouth in protest to Remus's protest when James entered and clapped him on the back in an overly chummy way. His scowl faded into a genuine grin when his best friend returned and the greeting he offered merely spurred on Sirius's delinquent attitude.
"Well," Sirius began, putting the tips of her fingers together in a businesslike manner, "For the first daring feat of the evening, we've decided to don the invisibility cloak, and using our ingenious map, plan to infiltrate the Slytherin common room." Before James could question why, the boy continued, blue eyes sparkling, "We've just noticed that Snivellus and Malfoy seem to be associating themselves quite often lately, and since all Moony wants to do is read and Peter wasn't doing anything, I figured we'd all just go pay them a visit."
Sirius grinned proudly at his newly presented plan of entertainment and as he was just expecting James to readily agree (and perhaps scold Moony for being such an obvious prat), a dreadful thought crossed his michevious little mind. "You, er, don't have any more meetings with Evans, do you, mate?" Now that Evans was on his mind again, Sirius began to wonder what they'd done all day. He studied James's surprised look with great suspision, just waiting for him to give any details away. "You didn't snog her, did you?" Sirius barked out a laugh at James's embarassed response. "Nah, she probably wouldn't let you near her, would she?" Sirius had always thought her to be rather shrewish even if she did fancy his best friend. She was a nice girl who got along with them, but the way she'd been keeping James all to herself lately was starting to alter Sirius' opinion of her.
Sirius glanced back at Remus. "You're comin' with us, aren't you? Even Peter won't back out of this one," Sirius said in a tone that made Peter not want to disagree.
OOC: Sorry. x_x; My writing skills are just horrible today but I wanted to keep this moving along... Maybe the next post can have them already moving under the cloak and nearing the common room and/or entering. About the teacher thing, I'm all for it if someone wants to play one. I don't think I'll play any teachers though. Maybe we could just play them whenever we need a teacher. And yeah, Dumbledore was their headmaster and I know McGonagall was there too. Well, I hope someone posts soon. We're getting closer to the full moon! e_e

James's eyes were plastered permanently to the floor. He didn't dare glance up at Lily who's all-seeing bright green eyes were most likely watching him curiously. James began sinking back to the Gryffindor portrait door.
"James..." His eyes finally unglued from the faded stone steps leading to the Gryffindor common room. Lily's voice, James noted, was very sultry sounding. "I had a really fun time."
James cleared his throat and looked at Lily, his glasses shining in the dim light the hallway torches cast all around. They were a mask to his eyes. His mouth twisted into a nervous smile. Was it his imagination, or was Lily... leaning in closer? James's eyes flicked around anxiously; first, to the other people climbing the steps and manuevering themselves around Lily and James, then James's head turned to impulsively look behind him to make sure no one was standing there. He saw the Fat Lady was snoozing in her portrait and heaved a sigh of relief. James's eyes finally found their way back to Lily, who was standing there as if expecting something. He shifted in his position and stretched his arms, yawning. "Lily, I'm kind of tired. You know, long day." He gazed at Lily, waiting for her reaction.
Lily's face dropped a little, and she said, "Oh, yeah. So I'll-ah-see you in class tomorrow?" in a rather disappointed voice.
"Of course!" James's voice cracked a little. He swallowed heavily as he watched Lily shuffle away from the Gryffindor house and turned slowly only to find the Fat Lady's pudgy face grinning knowingly at him.
"Dear me, you two are the sweetest of things! I've never seen a couple more perfect for each other. Watching you two is much better than reading a romance novel," she chuckled heartily.
James blushed profusely and said, "Purple ribbits," quickly. The Fat Lady cried out in surprise as the portrait door swung open.
"I WAS STILL TRYING TO HAVE A CONVERSATION, YOU KNOW!" she shouted at James as he stepped through the doorway and into the small corridor that led into the Gryffindor common room. Even after the portrait door shut, James could still hear her out there carrying on about how rude some students could be. James peeked into the common room and skimmed the many faces that cluttered it for his small group of friends. It was slightly noisy, as there was always some cluster of Gryffindor students upoaring with laughter. James finally spotted Padfoot, Moony, and Wormtail. He grinned happily and came out of the shadows of the passageway and crossed the large room to greet his friends. Remus and Sirius were standing, looking as if they were in a disagreement over something. James eyed them both carefully as he moved to slap Padfoot on his back.
"Salut, marauders! And what mischief do we have planned this evening?"
OOC: I think we should get some teachers in here now. =] Is Dumbledore headmaster right now? I forget... Because when Tom Riddle was at school (and I don't know if that was after or before the marauders... I remember in the movie it was fifty years before Harry went to school), Dumbledore was a teacher I think. I wish we could actually get someone to play Dumbledore if he's at the school.

He had just gotten back from Hogsmeade and was thinking about how much he hated Potter and his stupid friends. Lucius stared blankley at Snape as he spoke to him. The two rarely exchanged many words, although every now and then Lucius would try to bribe him into considering a future with the death eaters. Not openly of course, but subtle hints would do the trick, he hoped. Snape had amazing potential; one of the brightest wizards in the school, Lucius thought. The only other time Lucious bothered with him was to tactfully threaten him for his homework and such. Lucius was a bit of a bully even to his own house mates, especially the younger ones.
"I take it ... you didn't have a pleasant time torturing them with your words?"
His fake concern was noted, but Lucius knew one of the only thing he and Snape had in common... besides the dark arts.. was there hatred for Potter and Black. He knew Snape would be happy if anyone had brought some unpleasantries to them Personally, Lucious didn’t bother with the other two. Pettigrew was a sniveling little fool and Lupin thought himself to mature to engage in any sort of argument, even if Lucius did belittle his closest friends. He rolled his eyes at the pale faced boy.
“Not that it’s any of your business... but I did have a few words with the Potter gang.” He sneered. “Seems they’re in a bit of disarray, what with there great leader, Potter, spending all his time with that stupid mudblood girl.” His sneer changed into grin as he thought of how furious his cousin was when he mentioned Potter ignoring him.
He looked up to Snape, who was still standing, and motioned for him to sit down in the chair that was in front of him. A bit of intelligent conversation was always nice and neither one of his cronies could offer that.

Sirius leaned over and put his palms flat onto the pages of Remus's book. "It's Saturday, Moony!"
Sirius’ face was only inches away from his. It wasn’t really bothersome, just the way he was. Remus had gotten used to it. After a moment he responded with a smile, “and...?” He really didn’t know what Saturday had to do with not reading and interesting spell book, but he gave his friend a good natured smile.
"Quit readin' already. I'm bored."
“A game of chess then, perhaps?” Remus shrugged his shoulders. Sirius was then distracted by candy and the map, so Remus took his chance to continue on with his book, although he still listened to Sirius in the background.
"They're in the Slytherin common room. Reckon we should take a look?"
Remus took his time in dog earing the new page he was on and gently closing his book, before he looked at Sirius.
“And just how did you plan on doing that?” His face didn’t show much emotion although Sirius could probably tell he was a bit annoyed. “You know... don’t bother answering that question.” Remus already knew the answer anyway. “I think it’d be a much better idea if we played that game of chess instead.” He urged. “Peter can play the winner... You want to play, don’t you Peter? You’re so good at it and all...” He bribed his mouse like friend.
Despite his efforts, he knew that being cramped under an invisibility cloak would be in his near future.
OOC: As you’ve probably already figured out, I’m taking over Lucius for Rob. e_e;; He’s a lazy bum. I hope I did ok with him. n_n

Thursday, June 10, 2004 @ 01:46 p.m.
Sirius's shameless laughter eventually died down and he shook his long bangs from his eyes. Those crystal blue eyes shifted disdainfully to Moony as he tried to block out his surroundings with a book. Sirius leaned over and put his palms flat onto the pages of Remus's book. "It's Saturday, Moony!" Sirius grinned handsomely at his friend, their faces barely inches apart; he had no fear of invading people's personal space. "Quit readin' already. I'm bored." The boy rose to his full height again and popped a croaking chocolate frog into his mouth, his eyes roaming the length of the common room in search of something to do or someone to pester. "Hey Wormtail," Sirius all but barked at the boy, a mischevious expression on his face that would have frightened anyone who wasn't used to seeing it. "It sure is taking James and Lily a while to get back. You've got the map, haven't you? Let's take a look."
As Peter unfurled the map, Sirius brought out his wand, tapped it, and spoke the incantation: "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good." Very slowly, the maroon wording began to bleed across the surface of the parchment and little names began moving across the page as the marked students meandered along the corridors and across the castle grounds. As Sirius was searching the map for James and Lily, another couple of names caught his attention. "Hey, what are Malfoy and Snivellus doing? Malfoy usually doesn't give him the time of day." The two names were stationary right across from each other with Lucius's two goons flanking him. "They're in the Slytherin common room. Reckon we should take a look?" Sirius flicked a gaze towards Remus, knowing immediately that he would disapprove, and there was the problem of not knowing the Slytherin password, but that was merely a new challenge to Sirius and there was always the invisibilty cloak.
----
Lily and James enjoyed the rest of their day once James had gotten over the loss of his friends. Unfortunately, the day was over all too quickly, and the two were forced to seperate to their respective dorms. They paused at the top of the stairs, Lily uncomfortably conscious of the small number of people that were even remotely close to them. She expected a kiss, or a hug, at the very least and while she expected it, it did not help ease her nerves. She found herself thinking back to Charms class and wishing that she had a draught of that cheering potion. "James..." Lily smiled shyly up at him, her fingers plucking nervously at her robes. "I had a really fun time," she said with that mesmerizing grin. She reached up and tucked a long red strand of hair behind her ear and her gaze fell to the floor as she shifted her weight from one foot to the other.
OOC: Sorry to end it there, but I don't want to rush it unneccesarily. I feel that my writing is quite lousy today. n_n; Thanks for finally posting, guys! ::glomp:: <3

James finally gave Lily a small smile as she grasped his hand endearingly.
"I know, Lily...," and he broke off, reaching for her other hand. I just wish all of this was easier. He nodded his head in understanding and looked into her eyes.
After a second or two, he let go of Lily's hands. He felt a bit embarrassed, like everyone's eyes were on them. James thrust his hands under the table and grinned sheepishly at Lily.
Lily looked a bit taken aback, but recovered quickly. She saw James blush slightly and fought back a laugh when she saw an uncomfortable expression cross his face. "Let's get out of here," Lily grinned genuinely as she placed their tab on the table. "Besides, if I have to keep hearing Fei-linh Chang snog her boyfriend, I'm going to vomit."
James had just picked up his butterbeer glass to finish the remaining warming liquid at the bottom and was forced to snort into his glass loudly, spewing Butterbeer from his nose. Lily in turn doubled over in uproarious laughter as she helped him out of the booth. James left money on the table for Rosmerta and they both walked to the door in hysterics. They were both still chuckling as they started down the street and back to Hogwarts.
OOC: Okay, I'm way too tired to continue on from there. Maybe tomorrow I'll keep going.

After their meeting with Lucius, Remus was in a rather bad mood. James and Lily had gone now, and as he watched them leave, he felt even worse. He could never hope to be happy with someone he fancied… Not that he fancied anyone, anyway. He quickly pushed those kinds of thoughts out of his mind.
Soon, he, Sirius, and Peter were walking around the joke shop. Remus didn’t bother looking at any of the items on the shelves as he walked by them aimlessly. At some point, he past by Sirius, who mentioned something about N.E.W.T.s and Remus gave him a weak smile.
“Yeah…” He didn’t much like candy and he wasn’t really worried about the N.E.W.T. exams that loomed before them. He never had much trouble with his studies, except for potions. It was the only class that ever gave him much trouble.
After the joke shop, Remus and his two friends continued to walk around Hogsmeade and at some point, Remus purchased his gift for James. He just barely had enough to cover it. Soon after that, the three young wizards made their way back to Hogwarts.
Back in the Gryffindor common room, Remus grabbed his used copy of that year’s charms book and with a heavy sigh, he plopped down on a comfy armchair in front of the blazing fire. He turned to a page he’d dog eared, way ahead of the lesson they were doing in class. Charms was his favorite class, after all.
In a couple of nights, it would be another full moon and the closer it got, the gloomier Remus became. He tried to push those thoughts out of his mind also, as he concentrated on his charms book. He was fixated on a fairly tricky spell called the patronus charm; a charm that repelled dementors.
OOC: Arg, my internet at work doesn’t feel like working, so I can’t go look and see how to spell stuff like “patronus” @_@ Not that anyone would probably care, but I’m just a weirdo like that or something. BTW, even I dunno what Remus got James for his b-day. He won’t tell me…
R> You just can’t think of anything yourself…
Me> Yeah, pretty much. @_@
Yeah anyways… after seeing the movie I thought it would be kinda funny to have Remus learning how to do that charm. x3

OOC: Lets move this along, shall we?
Peter stumbled across the threshold of the griffindor commons room. "Damn..." He muttered as he stubbed his toe on the coffee table. He opened a chocolate frog and brought it to his lips as Sirius and Remus commented on a fourth year who was caught trying to shoplift in Honeydukes. Peter diverted his attention to the lunar calander above the mantle. Only two more nights til the full moon and then to really have some fun. Peter enjoyed his visits to the Shrieking Shack, even though he was a tad afraid of getting caught. Peter turned his attention back to Sirius who was laughing at some witty joke he just made.
OOC again: Perhaps we could move to the full moon, gives us something to mess around with! ::buys tickets to HP: POA:: Heh, one more day!

Tuesday, June 1, 2004 @ 09:55 a.m.
Sirius snickered as Lily dragged James off to Madame Rosmerta's. "I'm glad as Hell I don't have a girl to drag me around like that," he grinned towards Remus, blue eyes twinkling at the misfortune of his friend. Without a word, Sirius began walking in the direction in which Lily and James had come - toward Zonkos. Inside the joke shop, Sirius was oggling an expensive item that claimed to be able to tame a werewolf, however, he quickly averted his attention when Moony came near. The product was likely faulty and he didn't want to hurt his feelings by getting his hopes up. "I'm going to need plenty of sugar quills this year with the N.E.W.T.S coming up," Sirius claimed before laughing loudly. He also stocked up on chocolate frogs, fizzing whizbees, and many other questionable candies. Sirius paid for his armful of purchases and then looked over at Remus and Peter to see how they were coming along. He knew it'd be time to head back to the common room in only a couple of hours. Outside the shop, Sirius slung his bag over his shoulder, grinning boyishly as his long, shiny black hair dripped into his face. "So, uh, you guys didn't need to get new wands or books, or anything, did you?" Sirius asked them with a clearly disgusted look on his face, however, he feared that Peter might actually speak up. "Right, just as I thought," Sirius grinned over any protests and lead them onward. Their remaining Hogsmeade hours were spent stuffing their faces at a hotdog and ice cream shop.
[OOC: Man! An ant just bit me on the toe! >G]
Lily glowered at those patterns on the table as she was beginning to decide they were actually quite hideous. Abesentmindedly, she lifted her mug of butterbeer only to discover that it was empty. She'd been so preoccupied with her thoughts that she'd drunk it without even noticing. Her angry scowl finally softened as she caught James's gaze unawares.
"James," Lily took his hand suddenly, looking up at him with clear blue eyes; she just wasn't the type of girl to get all wishy-washy. "I'm sorry, but can we just forget about it? We're supposed to be having a good time in Hogsmeade, not having a death match of Who's Going To Back Down First. Can you forgive me?" The redhead spoke in a strong voice, not wavery and tearful as another girl might, and it was that strength in her that made her so different from the others. (And it was probably that strength that made her able to put up with James as well.)
"Let's get out of here," Lily grinned genuinely as she placed their tab on the table. "Besides, if I have to keep hearing Fei-linh Chang snog her boyfriend, I'm going to vomit." [OOC: Last chapter ref.! Fei was Hchan's original chara from the last HP rp, in case you didn't know/remember. x3]
OOC: I guess you guys can take it from there. Yay! x3 This rp is so much fun. Perhaps the most fun. <3

Sunday, May 30, 2004 @ 10:37 p.m.
"See you on the Quidditch field Potter."
"Most definitely, Malfoy." James looked down at his feet. Anywhere but Malfoy's retreating back because James was completely tempted to jump on top of Malfoy and start beating the shi--
"Lucky, you know!" James felt Lily's hot breath in his ear. Lily smacked his arm... the one James had slipped into his robes. His sweaty fingers were wrapped around his wand's handle, ready to pull it out when Malfoy made his first move. "You must learn to control your temper, James!" Lily whispered and then turned to look at the others, green eyes blazing with contempt. James set his lips into a thin line and clenched his teeth to keep from arguing with Lily. Light flashed off James's glasses as he fought to restrain his rampant fury at losing a fight with Malfoy.
Deep breath. He attempted a fake smile to hide everything he felt as he finally turned to look at Sirius. What he saw made James actually grin... a real smile. Sirius had taken up his signature boyish pose... and it was about as artificial as James's fake smile. James could tell Sirius was pissed off as all hell. And James was happy that they both imitated each other's feelings. In James's opinion, it proved how strong their friendship was. They always knew what the other was thinking.
"So, heading to Zonko's, were we-?"
James noticed how Sirius stopped talking when he glanced at Lily, who's face had acquired a look of complete irritation at Sirius's suggestion. "Zonko's...?" James would've loved to have an afternoon with the marauders. A break to think about his and Lily's relationship. He was about to say he wanted to go when Lily cut him off by grabbing his arm and pulling him away from his friends. James cried out in surprise and tried to wrench his hand free from Lily's iron grip. "Hey! Lily!"
"It was nice seeing you all, but James and I were just heading to Madame Rosmerta's (XD) cafe for a cup of tea," James heard her say. "See you boys later."
She pulled him up the street to Rosmerta's coffee place before he managed to get loose. "Lily! What was all that about?!" He frowned at her, shaking his hand to get the feeling back into his fingers. They had stopped outside the wooden doors of the café and a few of the customers inside stared at James through the grimy windows. Not to mention the ones leaving the pub.
"Forget it, okay?" James scowled at that as an answer. Lily made an effort again. "James, let's just go inside and have a cup. My treat? Please?" He looked at her. Her sparkling eyes were wide with plea.
"Fine. But don't expect me to get all mushy, yeah? No touchy feely crap, Lily."
Lily looked at James. "I didn't expect that James..." She trailed off. "What do you mean?" It sounded like James was trying to use the small argument they'd had to cover up something bigger.
"Let's just go, hm?" And he stormed into the coffee shop ahead of Lily. She followed in confusion and found James sitting near one of the window booths. Lily slid in across from him and stared at James until he uncomfortably said, "We should look at a menu."
"Yes," Lily responded, trying to keep up conversation.
"No, actually," James changed his mind. "I already know what I want."
"Butterbeer?" Lily smiled when James grinned despite himself. But James's small grin quickly turned to a glower as he tried to make Lily think he was still angry with her. Unfortunately for him, she caught on quickly. James was making Lily think he was distancing himself because of the argument. "Ah," Lily said astutely, and without meaning too.
"What?" James looked up at her.
"Nothing...," Lily didn't want to let on to James that she knew what he was thinking. So they sat in an awkward silence. Only until Madame Rosmerta came over to take their orders did they both speak. Lily, after Rosmerta asked her what she wanted to drink, saying, "Butterbeer," very lightly.
Then, James, "Me also."
Rosmerta stared at them both and then, guessing it was couple trouble, slipped away to put in their orders.
Neither spoke. Not even after a different waitor set their drinks in front of them and Lily mumbled a barely audible "thank you". They sipped their butterbeers in a stifling stillness. And when they finished, they sat there; James looking through the window and Lily tracing the table's wood patterns with her eyes.
OCC: I know. No confrontation about James's feelings! But I have to drag this out. =D However, Lily did guess what was bothering him. Girls and their stinkin' intuitions! >D

"Masquerade and revel in your opulence. Writhe unfettered by your stabs at ignorance. swim through hues and whisperd tones of heresy,A dozen strokes to run your blood cold enough to believe, Remember me?" Severus whispered the words to a song softly as he made his way back to the Slytherin Common room. As he enterd his eyes slowly adjusted to the soft light that blended waves of shadows across the walls. The room always reminded him of a submerged building and at this moment he thought it to be true.
He made his way slowly over to the corner area where he usually could be found reading or practicing spells of many kinds. A low sigh escaped his pursed lips as he saw the white blonde hair of Lucius sneaking from behind a dark green leather chair near where He was headed. "What's wrong Malfoy? Had enough fun with Potter and the gang?" He noticed the small scowl on the other boy's lips and he shook his head in dismay, soft black hair falling into his pale face as well as his emotionless dark gray eyes.
"I take it ... you didn't have a pleasant time torturing them with your words?" He tried to make his oice sound concern but her really couldn't care less if anyone had fun that day or not especially if it had to do with the pratt Potter and his annoying friends.

Sunday, May 23, 2004 @ 08:46 p.m.
Peter listen intently to the conversation between Lucius and Sirius. He became gratefull when Peter chased Lucius off, glad that the exchange hadn't changed into a fight.
As Peter watched Lucius walking away, his mind immidiatly went to the conversation he eavesdropped on in the beginning of the year. It played in his mind over and over... "In what way are Lucius and Snape alike?" Peter asked himself. Peter had yet to share what he had heard that day with his closest friends, but never-the-less he has thought about it often. Power...? peter thought. no... Lucius may have power, but Snape...? What else could they...? Peter shrugged it off, for the millionth time, and entered into Zonkos with Remus and Sirius. OOC: not anything to squeel over, but it's something.

Thursday, May 20, 2004 @ 03:45 p.m.
Before Sirius could reply with some witty comeback, Lupin spoke up. Despite his do-gooder admonishions, Sirius had no intention of backing down.
"It'd be worth a years detention to finally teach you a lesson, Malfoy!" Sirius growled. "Although I doubt any bit of good sense could ever penetrate that thick hair gel." Sirius smirked, but the hand that held his wand was shaking with anger. He was just itching to cast some sort of horrible jinx on his despicable cousin. Wanting to get Lucius before he got Sirius, he opened his mouth to conjure a spell but caught his breath as James walked up beside him.
Sirius couldn't help but laugh at James's clever quips, but mentally he admitted that Lucius was just as articulate. He scowled as his wand was flicked away but knew the battle was no longer his and let James, as Lily had said, "take care of it." He'd be ready to jump in as soon as the real fight began. They were all spared the risk of unending detention that day as Malfoy said his piece to James and stalked off.
"That's right, run back to mummy now," Sirius muttered under his breath as Lucius turned away, his half-witted lackies in tow. "Stupid git..." Placing his wand back in his pocket, he turned back to face his friends, glancing at James to see he looked as angry and pissed off as Sirius felt. Still, he knew that Remus was right and it was probably for the better that nothing worse had happened. Sirius took a deep, relaxing breath and stretched his arms behind his head, that handsome grin resuming its usual spot on his face. "So, heading to Zonko's, were we-?" Then he paused, noticing the look on Lily's face. Of course, she had expected them to be planning the "surprise party", not goofing off at the joke shop.
A frown now settled upon Lily's pouty lips as she walked over and gripped James's arm possessively. She was determined to keep him from joining his friends. She shot a meaningful glance at Sirius, then guided a friendly smile to Peter and Remus before speaking. "It was nice seeing you all, but James and I were just heading to Madame (what's-er-name's x_x;) cafe for a cup of tea. See you boys later." Lily flashed them all another brilliant smile before dragging James straight through his circle of friends and on down the sidewalk, all the while that fiery red hair, much like her temper, fluttering in the wind.
OOC: It'll be interesting to put Lily and James in that tea cafe. ::remembers Harry & Cho:: Especially since he's afraid to kiss her. XD I hope that post was alright. I feel a little lazy. n_n; And I hope I did alright with Lily, too. Don't want to disappoint my Na-chan. x3

Upon that demeaning word, Sirius's wand was out and aimed straight at Lucius's left nostril. His cousin had unfortunately struck a nerve by mentioning Lily, but Sirius's loyalty for James was deeper than that. He wouldn't allow scum like Malfoy insult Lily. "You take that back, prat!" Sirius barked.
"And if I don't? It's not like you have the guts to do anything about it." Lucius smiled.
"Calm down Sirius," he said in a low voice. "You wouldn't want to land yourself with another months worth of detentions, right?" Already, he knew his attempts were futile. "That's just what he wants, you know?"
He shifted his attention towards Malfoy, glaring. "Haven't you anything better to do?"
Lucius looked over at Lupin, "Prehaps you're right.." Lucius then flicked Sirius' wand out of the way with his own. "Like I said, I shouldn't bother with you-" At this point Potter came up.
"'Ello, Malfoy," James said, almost like he was just acknowledging he was actually there. "Lovin' the pee-blonde hair," James grinned, sarcasm dripping from the words as they escaped his lips. James made to tip an imaginary hat at him and then proceeded to stand next to Sirius.
Lucius looked at him. "Pee-blond? Wow Potter, almost talking like a big boy. Very original by the way, did you think that one up all by yourself?" Lucius glanced at Lily Evans, who just walked over. "Oh.. maybe your little girl friend helped you out?"
Lucius saw Potter's malevolent smile and just glared back. "Don't even dream it. You couldn't beat me in a million years Potter." Lucius then turned as he saw his lackies walking up. "Well, as always, it's been another fun meeting with the Potter group." He started walking away, "See you on the Qudditch field Potter."
Lucius walked off with his lackies with a big grin on his face.

OOC: Just so I can get to the good parts, I'm going to RP Lily for a little. Lina, maybe you can kind of take off from me next. =P
James and Lily walked down the center street of Hogsmeade together making embarrassing small-talk. It was still difficult for James to realize he had entangled himself in the confinements of love. James and Lily, they got along wonderfully, he along with the entirety of the school knew that. But something held James back from expressing his true thoughts. He couldn't--wouldn't?--kiss her until he was sure they weren't just friends. Sure, Lily and James were in a quote unquote relationship, but was it honestly going to go anywhere? Would it be true love? Forever and unending? James shook his head and pushed his depressing contemplations from his more than fluttering head and concentrated on Lily's voice. Lily's beautiful voice. He looked at her, almost flushing stupendously. She was talking, not looking directly at him. Staring ahead. Her copper-red hair flowing out behind her in a mass of wavy curls. She would absentmindedly flip it over her shoulder every once in a while. James loved it when she did this. He just wanted to run his fingers through it and take her longingly into his arms--
EGADS! Stop thinking about Lily that way! And James turned his head, pretending to look in the windows of different shops that passed them by. Until he heard Lily say... "James! Look! Sirius looks like he's about to murder someone. Oh, no wonder," Lily nudged James. "It's the cretin himself."
James's head snapped up. Malfoy! "Oh, James, you really should stop this nonsense and make sure Sirius doesn't magic Lucius into a wanting creature. Like a crab, or something. Please take care of this."
James chortled, "Would be funny to see, I must say."
"That doesn't mean Lucius can't magic Sirius into something first, James," Lily said, her green eyes flashing at James.
"Oh, all right, Lily." James smoothed his hair back and pushed his glasses up his nose. "Stay here, please." He trodded over to the impending war of the worlds in an effort to delay what was to come if not only for a minute or two.
"Sirius! Can't good ol' Moony take you anywhere without you making a scene and getting into a full-out brawl?" James called, clasping his shoulder as if he were really annoyed with him.
James looked over and saw that Lily had crossed the street and had heard every word he'd said to Lucius. She was giving him a disapproving look and mouthed, "Not what I meant by 'take care of it'." James smiled sheepishly and looked at Malfoy, finally getting down to business. "What twisted sort of mess are you trying to begin today? " James's lips curled themselves into a contorted yet malevolent smile, as if he just remembered how much he'd like to have Lucius dead. His smile was like a challenge and it almost tauntily screamed, "I'm a very arrogant little boy. I can fight better than you, and I will win. I know something you don't know."
OOC: Sorry if this isn't good. It's been such a long time since I've RP'ed. =F Besides that, I was just working on another story of mine, so I'm in that story mode. =)

Remus knew how much Sirius hated Malfoy. Him mentioning Lily and James had really set Sirius off. Within a few moments, there wands were out and pointed at each other. Remus let out a sigh and wondered if there was any point trying to reason with Sirius.
"Calm down Sirius," he said in a low voice. "You wouldn't want to land yourself with another months worth of detentions, right?" Already, he knew his attempts were futile. "That's just what he wants, you know?"
He shifted his attention towards Malfoy, glaring. "Haven't you anything better to do?" He would have liked to have said more to the prat, but it would only make matters worse. Often he would simply ignore the consent bickering between his friends and Malfoy, but getting into a fight was the last thing Sirius needed.
OOC: Sorry, that sucked. x.x I lacked inspiration, but I wanted to keep it going so.. there ya go. ;P

"Well if it isn't the Potter gang." Lucius called out to them.
They hadn't been further than ten steps from the tavern when a sneering, drawling voice reached Sirius's ears. His mouth already twisted into a malevolent snarl before he even made eye contact. Plunging a fist into his robes, he clutched his wand tightly, mentally daring that vicious cousin of his to give him a reason to fight.
"But where's your leader?" He looked at Sirius. "Don't tell me, he ditched you for that little mudblood girl.. didn't he?"
Unlike the rest of the marauders, Sirius had a fiery temper and often got dentions for fighting when someone pissed him off. He wasn't a bully like Lucius, but he knew how to stand his ground and he wouldn't back down from a challenge even if his life was on the line. Sirius had a certain sense of pride that often blinded him from the danger of bodily injury.

"Why didn't you just apparate?"
Peter shrugged off Sirius' question and sipped his Butter Beer. He finished quickly as Sirius and Remus started out the door. He quickly caught up with them and strolled down the street with them.
Well if it isn't the Potter gang."
Peter stopped in his tracks and closed his eyes tightly at the familiar voice. He opened his eyes reluctantly, hoping the voice had been a dream. Unfortunately he looked up to see Lucius standing right in front of Sirius. Sirius seemed so undeterred, and Peter admired his bravery. Lucius frightened everyone, including his own posse, at school, and Peter was not looking forward to being ridiculed for being a coward again.
"But where's your leader?"
Peter crossed his arms, trying as hard as he could to look brave. Unfortunately he failed. He looked rather ridiculous and out-of-place.
"Don't tell me, he ditched you for that little mudblood girl.. Didn't he?"
Peter looked to Sirius, awaiting his answer.

ooc: Umm... here we go.
IC:
Lucius had managed to lose a crowd of 3rd year Slytherin girls. Sure their attention was fine to begin with, but they quickly grew annoying. It was then that he saw them.
"Well, well, well... Potter's gang...minus the Potter. This might prove interesting." He said to himself as he casually approached them.
"Looks like they're headed to that stupid joke shop." One of Lucius' lackies came up behind him. "What we gonna do to them?" He said with a grin on his face. Lucius turned to him.
"Just gonna have a little talk with my favorite cousin." Lucius said. They both chuckled and kept walking.
"Well if it isn't the Potter gang." Lucius called out to them. "But where's your leader?" He looked at Sirius. "Don't tell me, he ditched you for that little mudblood girl.. didn't he?"
Lucius was always looking to get in a fight with Sirius, the family outcast. He figured that Black was annoyed because Potter had been ignoring him for a girl. "Well?" Lucius was waiting for their response, ready for a fight.

Sirius's blue eyes flicked over the top of his mug to Remus's face as he spoke. Although he wore a chronically I-am-bored expression, he was always quite interested in what his friends had to say.
“Besides, she probably figured it’d be better for us to make the plans since we’ve known him and been friends with him for so much longer than she has.” He grinned sheepishly, hoping he’d covered for the previous statement.
For some reason, that last swallow of butterbeer tasted something like lead. Sirius refused to show any outward signs of annoyance, however, he considered Remus rather lucky to have covered up so well. Sirius cleared his throat to reply but quickly found another distraction: girls.
Sirius was quite the flirt and he was well matched for it. He was handsome with his long raven hair and wide grin. Some students even rumoured about his secret shampoo potion; of course, he'd never tell. He got a lot of attention from girls that weren't even in his house, but he still reguarded himself as an independent man and would never consider choosing a girlfriend over his friends as James had done with Lily.
Forced to avert his attention from the group of Ravenclaw girls he had spotted upon entry, Sirius clapped the winded Peter on the back and pushed a butterbeer towards him. "Wochor, Wormtail!" Sirius grinned that million dollar smile as his friend joined them.
"Sorry I'm a little late, the crowd today was bigger then normal. Did you start planning without me?" he asked. "Did I miss anything exciting?"
"Why didn't you just apparate?" Sirius stared but not at all surprised by Peter's choice of travel. He wasn't always the brightest one in the group, after all. Sirius didn't really expect an answer and relaxed himself in his chair, tipping it just a little so that it teetered dangerously on three legs. "Nah, nothing exciting," Sirius replied almost dully. "I hope she doesn't want us to throw a surprise party or something. I can just imagine the common room wallpapered James's grinning face, tiny snitches flitting around the room, and we can play stun-the-Snivellus," Sirius paused to snicker.
A moment after Remus suggested the joke shop, Sirius leapt to his feet. "You're right, Remus! We can plan as we go."
OOC: I gotta remember that Sirius doesn't like girls quite at much as James. I'll tone it down a bit. xD Yay for Luna and Xel's posts! ::cheer::

Tall books stacked high upon the table in the Library hid the blacked haired Slytherin from veiw. Severus Snape sat reading over yet another Dark arts book to past the time. Today was a Hogsmeade day yet he didn't feel the need that he had to go. He watched in a bored manner as Lucius and the others went to the village.
"Ah and yet another day to brood over this existance." Over the past few years Severus had changed drastically teetering on bipolar imbalances and angst encouters. Not that his social life was any help. He hated being around most of his fellow students now especially four particular Gryffindors. He hated how James Potter and his friends treated him.
Severus gripped his hands tightly, nails biting into the pale skin of his palms. A small sigh escaped pursed pale lips and Severus slouched back into his chair returning back to his reading.
OOC: ~srry it took so long I just got my computer fixed enough so I can access the internet, hope the post is ok..tell me if it's not! -Xel~

Remus was standing near the bar as he waited patiently to receive his order of butterbeers. That day, being a Hogsmeade visit, the bar was full of Hogwarts students and it was very busy. Most of them only got a chance to visit Hogsmeade whenever the school allowed for a visit, but Remus and his friends came to the small village quite often, although they wouldn’t be able to frequent the bar in most cases. Finally, the witch came back with three butterbeers and Remus happily paid for them. It was usually one of his other friends that would pay for the rounds, but not this time. Remus had taken some odd jobs over the summer. He took on as many as he could from anyone that would give him work. He didn’t make much, but it would be enough for a few extra luxuries, including buying drinks for his friends. He was also, excited about buying a decent gift for James this time.
"So, should we bewitch his sneakers to dance at the sound of Lily's voice calling his name or put a spell on his glasses so that no matter who he looks at, they wear Lily's head?” Remus had just placed the three mugs down and taken a seat next to Sirius. He lowered his head a bit to hide his grin. Although Sirius’ suggestions were amusing, he couldn’t go along with it.
“It might be best if we stuck to gifts, rather than pranks, it being his birthday and all.” Remus looked up and smiled at his friend before taking a gulp of butterbeer.
"Just like a girl to make such a fuss over a birthday. If she wants to do something special, she oughta plan it herself rather than have us do it for her,” Sirius continued rather irritably.
Remus sighed. “Well, it would be more difficult for her to make plans with James hanging around her all the time.” As soon as he finished the statement, he realized it was not the right thing to say, especially to Sirius. “Besides, she probably figured it’d be better for us to make the plans since we’ve known him and been friends with him for so much longer than she has.” He grinned sheepishly, hoping he’d covered for the previous statement.
Sirius mentioned that Peter was late and sounded rather annoyed about it, however, some girls had just entered and that seemed to cheer him up. Remus rolled his eyes, but smiled at his friend who seemed to have a one-track mind sometimes. Just as Sirius mentioned abandoning Peter if he didn’t show up soon, he emerged from the doorway.
"Sorry I'm a little late, the crowd today was bigger then normal. Did you start planning without me?" he asked. "Did I miss anything exciting?"
Peter sat down next to him and across from Sirius. Remus pushed a sweat-covered butterbeer in his direction. “Don’t worry, you didn’t miss much.” He smiled down at his shorter friend, who looked a bit winded and drank his butterbeer quickly. “Well, I suppose we can head over to the joke shop then, although I don’t plan on purchasing anything from there.” He chuckled. No doubt, Sirius would probably want something from there, if not for James, for himself. Remus already knew what he wanted to buy for his friend. He just hoped he had enough money for it.
OOC: Blah, that seemed crappy. Hope it was ok. n_n;

Tuesday, May 11, 2004 @ 11:48 a.m.
Peter stuffed his grubby hands into his pockets as he briskly walked down the streets of Hogsmeade. He held on to his coins as he pushed he way through crowds of people. He was heading towards the Three Broomsticks to meet with Sirius and Remus. He quickened his pace, rudely pushing younger ones out of the way.
He entered the Three Broomsticks, and looked around hastily for his friends. He spotted them just as they finished their Butterbeers.
"Hey guys!" hey shouted over the noisey crowd. He strolled over to them. "Sorry I'm a little late, the crowd today was bigger then normal. Did you start planning without me?" he asked. "Did I miss anything exciting?"
OOC: Short post, but at least it is a post! Glad to be back!

OOC: Okay, I'm just skipping ahead a bit to try and get the storyline going. Um, mostly I'm just playing this by ear. I hope someone responds soon. n_n
IC: It hadn't been easy to convince James to go along with Lily that first day in Hogsmeade. Truthfully, the two were finally on friendly terms and Sirius wasn't the only one to suspect there was something more than friendship going on, but when Lily insisted he spend the entire day with him, he had put up quite an argument. Sirius had finally run out of reasons, but Remus spoke up at the last moment and guaranteed the other boys with the privacy of planning James birthday present. Sirius and Remus had met in the Three Broomsticks and Peter was supposed to be meeting them shortly.
"So, should we bewitch his sneakers to dance at the sound of Lily's voice calling his name or put a spell on his glasses so that no matter who he looks at, they wear Lily's head?" Sirius remarked rather cinically as Remus joined him with their order of butterbeers. He knew Lily was right about this being the only way to plan something for James' 18th birthday, but it still soured him that James had been spending more time with Lily than with them. "Just like a girl to make such a fuss over a birthday. If she wants to do something special, she oughta plan it herself rather than have us do it for her," Sirius frowned before brushing his long hair back from his face and gulping down half of his mug of butterbeer.
Lowering his mug, he looked over at the blonde boy sitting in front of him, Remus the werewolf and quickly becoming his best friend. Since James had been spending so much time with Lily this year, Sirius had been forced to see more of Remus and Peter without James's company.
"What's taking Wormtail so long? You'd think he'd know his way around Hogsmeade after 6 years." Sirius glanced towards the doorway as a group of girls came through. At once his pouty look faded and he flashed them a handsome grin to which they giggled, ducking their heads shyly and skittered away to a nearby table.
It was now October and the weather was getting colder. Sirius pulled his gold and red scarf tighter around his neck as the snowy winds rushed through the Three Broomsticks. Another swallow of his butterbeer and he began to warm up instantly. Those sparkling blue eyes shifted to Remus again.
"Well, Moony, I say we give him five more minutes, then I'm heading to Zonko's," Sirius said with a grin.
OOC: Hope that was okay. n_n; Zonko's was the name of the Joke Shop, right?
